Privacy Policy
How MOPOSA collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data.
Introduction
This site is owned by Eventovate Limited, incorporated in Ireland with company number 466666. This Privacy Policy explains how we use the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
What personal data do we collect and why?
We will process any Personal Data you provide to us for the following purposes:
- To provide you with the services you have requested;
- To contact you if required in connection with your use of the website or to respond to any communications you might send to us;
- To inform you of any updates or offers we might periodically have available.
MOPOSA collects the following personal data:
- Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, address).
- Geolocation.
- IP address.
- Browser and device details: information about how you use our Website and the types of devices you use (desktop, mobile, tablet).
- Any other personal data you provide via the Website.
How do we collect your personal data?
You directly provide MOPOSA with the personal data we collect. We collect and process personal data when you:
- Register for a MOPOSA account directly on our Website or via one of our client venues.
- Voluntarily complete a customer survey, provide feedback/reviews on any part of our Website or message boards, enter competitions, contact us in any way, or ask to be included on our mailing list.
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
- Create or edit your account user profile.
MOPOSA may also receive personal data indirectly from client venues that use our widget (embedded web widgets on client venues' websites).
Who will we share your personal data with?
We may share your personal data with other companies who support our business (e.g., IT and legal services). We have contracts with service providers covering safeguarding and proper use of your personal data.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to government entities, courts, or as part of litigation, and where necessary to protect the physical safety of any person or to protect legal rights (including employees, customers or the public).
In the event of a merger, sale, liquidation or transfer of substantially all assets, we may share data with a third party provided they adhere to the Privacy Policy and only use personal data for the purposes provided. You will be notified and afforded an opportunity to opt-out of such a transfer.
No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of personal data exclude mobile opt-in data; sharing of mobile opt-in data with third parties for marketing is expressly prohibited.
How will we use your personal data?
In general, we collect, use, store and process personal data to provide services to you, to fix and improve those services, to develop new services, and to tell the venues and businesses we work with about MOPOSA’s own services.
MOPOSA collects your personal data so that we can:
- Facilitate you to manage all aspects of your wedding at your chosen venue.
- Resolve technical issues, prevent, investigate and resolve issues such as fraud or unauthorised access or breaches of the Website Terms of Service.
- Perform website analytics: aggregate statistical information (non-personal) such as anonymised IP addresses, browser types and other anonymous statistical data to improve the website.
How do we store your personal data?
MOPOSA securely stores your personal data electronically. We take the security of your personal data seriously and ensure both hard and electronic data are securely stored. Electronic data is accessed via secure connections and stored in a high-security data centre with multiple backups and security systems. Multi-factor authentication is used for server access.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it.
Enquiries, bookings and wedding planning
When you enquire with or book a venue that uses MOPOSA, the enquiry or booking and everything connected to it are kept for the venue. That includes your contact details, the emails, text messages and WhatsApp messages sent about it, your planning account, guest list, seating plan, wedding website, documents and contracts. Once a year we delete, from whichever of these comes first:
- bookings and enquiries whose wedding or event date was more than 5 years ago;
- bookings and enquiries created more than 7 years ago.
So a wedding in June 2026 is deleted in the first clean-up after June 2031. You can ask for your data to be deleted sooner: see your data protection rights, or ask the venue.
Other records
- Activity log: the record of changes made in a venue’s account, used to answer questions and investigate problems, is deleted after 3 months.
- Technical logs of how our pages perform are deleted after 30 days.
- Email address checks: when you type an email address into one of our forms, we may ask our email verification provider (Kickbox) whether it can receive mail, so we can warn you about a typing mistake. We keep the answer for 6 months against a coded (hashed) version of the address, not the address itself.
- Cookies last as long as shown in the cookie table.
Venues and businesses
- Sales contacts: if you have been in touch with us about MOPOSA for your business but did not become a customer, we delete your details after 3 years with no contact between us.
- Customers: a venue’s account, agreement and billing records are kept for 6 years after the agreement ends, as Irish tax law and the time limits for legal claims require.
Marketing
Couples and guests
MOPOSA does not send couples or guests marketing of its own, and we do not pass your details to other companies for their marketing.
A venue that uses MOPOSA may send you news and offers about the venue by email, text or WhatsApp. The venue is responsible for those messages. To stop them:
- use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the venue’s marketing email, which stops that venue’s marketing emails;
- reply STOP to a text or WhatsApp message (see SMS and WhatsApp below);
- or ask the venue, or email support@moposa.com.
Unsubscribing stops marketing only. You will still receive messages about your own enquiry or booking, such as appointment confirmations, contracts and payment receipts.
Venues and businesses
If you run a venue or have been in touch with us about MOPOSA, we may email you about our services. You can opt out at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of those emails, your email app’s unsubscribe button, or by emailing support@moposa.com.
SMS / Text Messaging
MOPOSA provides SMS (text message) functionality as part of its wedding planning and venue management services. This section explains how we collect, use and protect phone numbers for SMS communications.
What phone numbers we collect and how
- Enquiry and booking contacts: When you submit an enquiry or booking via a venue's contact form or provide your phone number directly to venue staff, your mobile number is recorded in our system.
- Wedding guests: Couples may add guest phone numbers to their guest list within the MOPOSA planning dashboard. Guests may also provide or update their own phone number via the online RSVP page.
How we use phone numbers for SMS
Phone numbers are used to send SMS messages in the following contexts:
- Transactional messages: Appointment reminders, wedding-day notifications, and RSVP access codes sent on behalf of the venue or the couple.
- Couple-to-guest messages: Wedding couples may send SMS messages to their guests through the MOPOSA planning dashboard (e.g. event details, reminders, updates).
- Marketing messages: Promotional or informational messages sent by the venue, only where explicit phone consent has been recorded.
Consent and opt-in
- Enquiry/booking contacts: Consent is recorded per contact via a phone consent flag. Marketing SMS is only sent to contacts whose consent flag is enabled. Contacts may also opt out of all communications entirely.
- Wedding guests: When completing the online RSVP form, guests are presented with a checkbox: "I'm happy for [Couple's Names] to send me SMSs." This checkbox must be selected to receive SMS messages. Guests can return to the RSVP page at any time to uncheck this box and withdraw consent.
Opting out of SMS
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us.
- Unchecking the SMS consent box on the RSVP page (for wedding guests).
- Contacting the venue directly or emailing support@moposa.com.
For help, reply HELP to any SMS message or email support@moposa.com.
Third-party SMS providers
We use third-party providers (such as Twilio) to deliver SMS messages on our behalf. These providers process your phone number solely for the purpose of message delivery and are bound by data processing agreements.
No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile opt-in consent data is never sold, rented, leased, or otherwise disclosed to third parties for their own marketing use.
WhatsApp messaging
Where a venue has enabled it, MOPOSA can send and receive WhatsApp messages as well as SMS. This section explains how phone numbers and message content are handled on that channel.
What we process
- Phone numbers: the same mobile numbers described in the SMS section above are used to reach you on WhatsApp, where you hold a WhatsApp account on that number.
- Message content: messages we send you, and any reply you send back, are stored against your enquiry or booking so that venue staff can see the conversation history.
- Delivery information: whether a message was delivered and whether it was read.
How we use WhatsApp
- Messages we start: WhatsApp requires these to use message templates approved in advance by Meta. We use them for appointment reminders, booking confirmations and wedding day notifications sent on behalf of the venue.
- Replies: if you message a venue, staff may reply in their own words for 24 hours after your most recent message, which is the window WhatsApp allows. After that, only an approved template can be sent until you message again.
- Fallback to SMS: if a WhatsApp message cannot be delivered, the same message may be sent to you by SMS instead.
Opting out of WhatsApp
Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message and that venue will stop sending you both WhatsApp and SMS messages. It applies to the venue whose message you replied to: if you have enquired with more than one venue, the others are not affected and you can reply STOP to each of them separately. Reply START to receive that venue's messages again. You can also block the sender in WhatsApp, contact the venue directly, or email support@moposa.com.
Third parties
WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which operates the WhatsApp Business Platform, and through our messaging provider Twilio. Both process your phone number and message content for the purpose of delivering messages, and both are bound by data processing agreements. Messages sent over WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy in addition to this one.
We do not share your phone number or the content of your messages with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
What are your data protection rights?
Every user is entitled to the following rights:

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work at all. Others remember your choices, or tell the website owner how the site is used.

How do we use cookies?
On our website, www.moposa.com, we only use strictly necessary cookies unless you agree to more. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies, marketing cookies, both or neither. Nothing in those two groups is set until you choose, and you can refuse them with one click. We keep your choice for six months and then ask again.
When you log in to MOPOSA, we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and your account secure.

Google Analytics and Google Ads are provided by Google Ireland Limited. If you accept marketing cookies:
- Visitors who arrive from one of our ads may be shown a Google forwarding number in place of our phone number, so that Google can count calls from the ad.
- When you send us a message through our contact form, we send Google Ads a hashed (encoded) copy of the email address you gave. Google matches it against Google accounts to tell us whether the enquiry came from one of our ads, and uses it only for that measurement.
We do not use these cookies to show you MOPOSA ads on other websites.
Changing your cookie choices
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page on www.moposa.com, or change your cookie settings now. When you withdraw consent for a group, we delete its cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. MOPOSA may not work properly without the strictly necessary ones.
